MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for Sony's Medellin-based subsidiary La Industria Inc. The album made it to the 8th spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that was an album that was a Top Five hit. In 2020, he dropped his second album charting Dopamina and co-wrote Mala Influencia with Noriel. In 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI on her cult online single Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are both musicians. In his interviews, he's described his involvement in music as mandatory. When he was a kid, he began learning how to play the ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. His first career choice was to be a veterinarian However, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban teacher.
