Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana loves opera and tangos, and all dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play and sing from an early age, along alongside her mother. She was given more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
